"LIKE A KID IN A SWEETSHOP": HESTON BLUMENTHAL

"Like a Kid in a Sweetshop" is an audio / visual experience created to complement the sensory adventure of eating at Heston Blumenthal's (OBE) three-Michelin-starred restaurant, The Fat Duck.

On booking a table at the restaurant the customers are sent a "Golden Ticket" that gives them access to a "secret" website where they can experience the "Like a Kid in a Sweetshop" film.

At the end of the film, on entering the sweetshop, the experience because completely auditory. John Hurt stars as the sweetshop owner and using the power of sound design and binaural recording, we create an almost synesthesia like experience.

We explore tastes, smells and sensations exploring the shelves of the sweetshop all guided by John."

Zelig Sound composed, arranged and recorded the orchestral score, formed the sound design and audio experience. Supervised the recording on John Hurt's voice acting.
